Natural Factors Mega Probiotic Powder - 12 billion active cells. Three strains of lactobacillus bacteria support the health of the small intestine, and one strain of bifidobacterium supports the health of the large intestine. Probiotics have been shown to play an important role in preventing or controlling diarrhea, constipation and other digestive disorders, dental cavities, bacterial vaginosis, and allergies. Enteric coating is not required for all probiotic strains. With regards to stomach acid resistance, not all strains are created equal. Natural Factors has carefully selected naturally acid-resistant strains so they may be consumed at any time, with or without meals, and are safely delivered to the intestine unharmed.

Ingredients

Each gram (¼ teaspoon) contains:
12 billion active cells* of the following specially cultured strains of probiotics:

Non-medicinal Ingredients:
Maltodextrin, calcium gluconate, inulin, fructooligosaccharides (FOS), silica, ascorbic acid.

Dosage (12 years or older):
1 g (¼ teaspoon) daily, mixed with water, juice, your favourite smoothie, or sprinkled onto foods like cereal, fruit, or yogurt, or as directed by a health care practitioner.
Take at least 2–3 hours before or after antibiotics.

Cautions:
May contain traces of milk and/or soy. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if symptoms of digestive upset (e.g., diarrhea) occur, worsen, or persistbeyond 3 days. Do not use if you have an immunocompromised condition (e.g., AIDS, lymphoma, patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment). Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have nausea, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, or severe abdominal pain. Keep out of the reach of children.

Contains no artificial colours, preservatives, or sweeteners; no wheat, gluten, egg, fish, shellfish, salt, tree nuts, or GMOs. Suitable for vegetarians.
